We are both deeply committed to the fight against breast cancer. Both myself and Nikki compete annually in the Relay for Life along with 40 other team members. Our team is known as "Simply the Breast". To raise additional funds we have hosted Ice Cream Sundae Parties, garage sales, Bud Spud and Steak socials, as well as many other activities. At our Century 21 Canada National Conferences, Nikki and I are so committed to this cause we dye our hair pink and have become known as the "Pink Ladies".

This year we have also committed to "Send a Kid to Camp". Children with disabilities are often unable to attend camp due to their wide range of special needs. The costs to support these needs are often so phenomenal that a family just can not afford to send their child. We have committed to raise $2100.00 to send a child to camp. This program is sponsored by Easter Seals and we are very pleased to have the opportunity to help.

Born and raised in the Melville area of Saskatchewan
Lived 3 1/2 years in Gimli, Manitoba
Moved to Winnipeg in 1991
Worked in the banking industry prior to obtaining my Real Estate License
Married 35 years to my high school sweetheart
Raised 3 children: Nikki has an active career in Real Estate; Laine is an award-winning hairdresser; and Tanner works on the Canadian National Railroad, now in training to become a locomotive engineer.
Our oldest granddaughter is now 4 and is very excited about having 2 new cousins!
Obtained my Real Estate License in 1992
My daughter Nikki joined me in 2003 to form "Your Mother Daughter Team"

We are happy to announce that Nikki is expecting her first baby at the beginning of August, and Nikki`s brother and his wife are also expecting at the beginning of September. We are overjoyed that there will be not 1, but 2 new additions to our family this year!

As mentioned in our previous blog, please come out and participate in our Relay for Life walk this Friday.

Relay For Life is a community-based non-competitive event in which teams of 10 participants walk, run or stroll around a track to raise funds for the Canadian Cancer Society to support research and services for people living with cancer.

Visit our Relay for Life site to learn more, purchase a luminary, or pledge an individual or team.

We will be there from 7:00am until 7:00 pm and would love to see you there!

On May 28th, we will be walking in the "Relay for Life" being held at the Winnipeg Gold-Eyes field. We will be walking for 12 hours to help combat cancer. All proceeds will go to the Manitoba Cancer Society to help them continue on the the great work they have been doing. This will be our eighth year of involvement. Over the years, our team alone has raised upwards of $50,000.00, and we are truly excited to again be a part of this cause! For donations, call Cathy or Nikki at 987-2100. We hope to see you there!
